Teaching Love and Connecting Page of Our Open Source Education Program is Now Complete
We’re happy to report that we have now completed both the Honesty and Integrity component and the Love, Compassion, and Connection component of the open source and free-shared One Community Education for Life Program and we’d love any additional suggestions! This curriculum is meant as a globally collaborative and ever-expanding archive of ideas to be combined with the Teaching Strategies for Lifecomponent, and Teaching Tools for Life component, to create endless Lesson Plans for Life purposed to grow and evolve what we feel will be the most comprehensive, effective, and diversely applicable free-education program and open source and free-shared project-launch usable education blueprint in the world.
OPEN SOURCE CURRICULUM FOR LIFE
The purpose of the Curriculum for Life component is to clearly outline everything we believe should be part of the human learning experience for any age. This includes all traditional subjects (math, science, reading, etc.), life skills (emotional awareness and responsibility, integrity, healthy relationships, communication skills, etc.), and subjects typically reserved for college (public speaking, business skills, psychology, etc.). Our primary goal is to provide all people, at any age, with a curriculum guide to being leaders, freethinkers, amazing, creative, and world changing people – “ambassadors of the future” – with maximum choices for how to apply themselves in the evolving world.

Waldorf Curriculum Homeschool Resource Created
We are happy to report that the Waldorf page of the Education for Life program is now live, filled with the results of our Waldorf curriculum and homeschool resources research, and ready for input from anyone who’d like to contribute ideas to make it better. This page is meant to function as an ever-expanding archive of open source, free-shared, and duplicable Waldorf curriculum and homeschooling inspired ideas that we organize into the primary components of the One Community Education Program: Curriculum for Life, Teaching Strategies for Life, Teaching Tools for Life, and building The Ultimate Classroom. These components are designed to be combined to create endless “Lesson Plans for Life” purposed to grow and evolve what we feel will be the most comprehensive, effective, and diversely applicable free-education program and resource archive in the world. The One Community Foundations of Teaching, Leadership, and Communicating, combined with a collaborative Evaluation and Evolution Component (Portfolio Creation and Maintenance), help us to further grow and adapt both the program and as individuals.

Updates: Video Blog 2 | Open Source Education for Life | SEGO Center City Hub | Tropical Dome
Here is our second video blog covering the progress of the last week including progress to our open source Education for Life Program, the SEGO Center City Hub, and the Pod 1 facility that will produce tropical food and function as social space too. One very exciting development from last week that we forgot to mention in the video blog was the publishing of one of our articles by Neale Donald Walsch’s (international speaker and author of the Conversations with God book series) organization called The Global Conversation. The article is called “Creating an Open Source and Free-shared Collaborative Planet” and you can read our blog on it here.
ONE COMMUNITY VIDEO BLOG #2
The response to our first video blog was very positive so we are going to do at least one video blog a week until we get on the property and will be doing at least 3-4 blogs and/or tutorials each day.
Open Source Education for Life Progress
Here are the newly completed pages referenced in the video blog:
We have now also finished the images for all the other curriculum pages too. Check them out:
HONESTY & INTEGRITY ● INTERCONNECTEDNESS ● DIVERSITY
COMMUNICATION ● SHARING ● CONTRIBUTION ● COLLABORATION
MINDFULNESS & FUN ● COMMUNITY ● FREEDOM ● KNOWLEDGE AND WISDOM
This week the goal is getting the completed Orff Schulwerk and Waldorf educational information added to the website and then “cross pollinating” the information from those pages (Montessori Page) into all the related Curriculum for Life, Teaching Strategies for Life, Teaching Tools for Life, and Ultimate Classroom pages. We’ll also be getting the completed information for the Honesty and Integrity curriculum and Interconnectedness curriculum pages up on the website as well this week.
Pod 1 Open Source Tropical Food and Social Space Evolution
The foundational designs for the Pod 1 Tropical Food and Social Space are now complete. The next step is planning what we will be growing in this space, putting together a harvest schedule, and starting to put together the details fo the graywater processing component of this space and the materials details. All of this information, and a ton more of research that we’ve already done will be organized in a new open source Tropical Food Production page we are creating so we can organized all the details specific to the R&D and open source project-launch blueprinting specific to this structure: HERE’S THE PAGE
Pod 1 Tropical Food and Social Space Evolution from Sketches to Plans
Here are a few of Douglas Simms Stenhouse’s (Architect and Water Color Artist) drawings showing the evolution of this structure from the most basic sketches to the detailed drawings we now have. While these most recent drawings were all completed in the last couple of weeks, the evolution of this structure has taken over two years.

SEGO Center Open Source City Hub Updates and Evolution
We’ve also been working hard on the SEGO Center City Hub. Here is the redmarked CAD images showing the changes we are making. Karl Harris (Architect Drafter, Designer, and founder of KH Designs) should have an updated CAD export to clearly depict these updates completed for us sometime in the next week. As part of our open source project-launch blueprinting program, when this building is done we will have complete open source and free-shared blueprints, an archive of detailed construction tutorials, and everything else necessary to make duplication or evolution of this building as easy as possible virtually anywhere in the world – including established relationships with the design professionals who have helped us and the producers of all the materials to make modifications as affordable and easy as possible too.

One Community Featured on The Global Conversation
Neale Donald Walsch (international speaker and author of the Conversations with God book series) just featured an article we wrote on his website, The Global Conversation. The article is called “Creating an Open Source and Free-shared Collaborative Planet“
Here is an excerpt:
What would it take to create a free-sharing, sustainable, open source planet without copyrights and limits of use? Arguably, there has never been a time in history when the awareness of so many people has been directed to the possibility of a planet beyond competition, capitalism, and even money itself. For those who believe in the potential and value of this concept of sharing and collaborating on every aspect of our coexistence, the internet has provided the path to successful coordination and mobilization of our groups and ideas… (read more)

Sustainable Lifestyles: SEGO Center and Tropical Dome Updates and Images
In our on-going open source project-launch blueprinting program to promote sustainable lifestyles and create and free-share everything people need to duplicate all aspects of One Community, we met with Douglas Simms Stenhouse (Architect and Water Color Artist) yesterday for 3 hours to pick up the library and loft redesign for the Social Dome (left) of the SEGO Center City Hub. We also had an in-depth discussion about the the redesign of the Pod 1 Tropical Dome. The redesign stemmed from primarily from concerns that we might not be able to get enough light into the current design to support the tropical environment we desire.
Once we started discussing the Tropical Dome in much more detail, we also realized that the majority of people who may wish to duplicate this dome are going to have vastly different environments that they are going to be building in. With this in mind we’ve expanded the redesign with the following criteria:
● It needs to be maximally adaptable and ultimately able to be disassembled if major redesign is needed for us or anyone else
● It will have multiple methods of adjusting for seasonal fluctuations of too much heat, too little heat, and humidity so that the worst-case scenario of disassembly should never be necessary
MAKING SUSTAINABLE LIFESTYLES EASIER
Our 4-Phase Sustainable Communities Strategy is all about making sustainable lifestyles easier and more attractive. We feel if we do this we can launch a mainstream drive to build self-sufficient teacher/demonstration communities, villages, and cities all over the world. With this mindset we are re-engaging the Tropical Dome to:
- Reduce the cost
- Reduce the necessary amount of digging
- R&D 5 solutions to too much heat in the summer
- R&D 5 solutions to too not enough heat in the winter
- R&D 5 solutions to controlling humidity year-round
- Create a roof that can be adapted to add lighting and/or insulation as needed along with the ability to completely disassemble it if a completely different design is desired
We are also adding some very significant internal design elements so that the recreational application of the dome is supported by the design on day one versus having to wait for all of the greenery to become established. ADA compliance is another addition.
TROPICAL DOME INITIAL DESIGN DRAWING
When it is complete the Tropical Dome will be very affordable to build, produce a diversity of food, and provide a beautiful place to relax with a book, or host meditation, yoga, or other classes and gatherings. In the image below you can see the initial drawings of what we are planning. The structure is circular to fit with the design and layout of Pod 1 and the South wall will be terraced (depicted as sloped) to allow maximal sun penetration year-round. The largest trees and plants will be planted along the North wall with progressively smaller and ground based plants as you move South. At the bottom of the space, and backed by the largest plants and trees, will be a pedestal for a class instructor or small group to enjoy the space. The first terrace will be designed for 15-20 students and space for an additional 15-20 will be incorporated into the other terraces.

The Official Launch of the Open Source and Free-shared Education for Life Program!
One Community is extremely happy to announce the official launch of the open source and free-shared One Community Education for Life Program. This official launch is made possible because we’ve now completed the structure for all the key pages and can start inputting the information from all the research and work we’ve been doing over the past couple years AND we are ready for suggestions from anyone who would like to help contribute to this part of the One Community open source and free-shared project-launch blueprinting process.
TWO EASY WAYS TO CONTRIBUTE
THE COLLABORATIVE SUGGESTIONS PAGE ● OUR OPEN SOURCE BACK OFFICE
THE EDUCATION FOR LIFE PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Over the next few weeks we will be adding all the content from our continued development and our open source back office, along with the suggestions of our Consultants and YOU, to share the polished version of the foundational infrastructure of this Education Program including: Curriculum for Life, Teaching Strategies for Life, Teaching Tools for Life, and building The Ultimate Classroom. These components are designed to be combined to create endless “Lesson Plans for Life” purposed to grow and evolve what we feel will be the most comprehensive, effective, and diversely applicable free-education program and resource archive in the world. The One Community Foundations of Teaching, Leadership, and Communicating, combined with a collaborative Evaluation and Evolution Component (Portfolio Creation and Maintenance), will then help us to further grow and adapt both the program and as individuals as part of our mission for global sharing and collaboration.
LOOKING AT THE BEST OF WHAT ALREADY EXISTS
To create this education program we have started by researching the best of what already exists and thinking about how we can capture the essence of these systems as a foundation and then build beyond them. To keep the program ever-expanding, globally collaborative, and as comprehensive as possible, we will be posting these pages as we polish the on-going results of our research and maintaining and updating them with the best and most applicable suggestions of anyone who would like to contribute information and ideas.
Here is the first of these completed pages:
Coming soon will also be the following pages that are already available if anyone would like to look at them and start making suggestions to help us make them the best they can be:
Waldorf ● Orff Schulwerk ● Reggio ● 8 Intelligences ● Bloom’s Taxonomy
SHARING THE EDUCATION FOR LIFE PROGRAM
To help support, encourage, and maximize the open source project-launch blueprinting program related to the Education for Life component we have also:
- Made our back office and notes publicly accessible
- Created a Transformational Education Facebook Fan Page
- Created an open source education YouTube channel (click to visit and subscribe)
EDUCATION FOR LIFE PROGRAM NEXT STEPS
The next steps for us and this component of the One Community open source project-launch blueprinting program is to continue researching, developing, and moving everything from our back office to the optimized and heavily trafficked website so the world can find it AND to bring as many people as possible into the evolution and development process so we can make it better and even more accessible and available to everyone. We will also be integrating all the suggestions we receive into the various related components and announcing completed pages here and on all our social media networks so anyone interested can comment, contribute, and/or use the information in the way that works best for them.
