Love Community

We believe self-love is foundational to creating a culture dedicated to living life for The Highest Good of All. We also believe that mainstream embracing of loving life, living love, communicating love, and/or creating a love community focus needs to transcend the existing stigma remaining from the Free Love/Flower Power movement if it is to become generally accepted. One Community is a structure for accomplishing this with a culture of communicating love through open source sharing and an appreciation of “love and connection” as one of the 6 primary human needs and foundational values of our community model. Starting with a focus of a team committed to personal development and self-love, we are embracing loving life, living love, and ultimately communicating this love as a community through a global collaborative contribution model, ethical business practices, and a network of sustainability and ethosolution partners as our path to redefining the love community associated with the hippie movement of the 60’s, with the consciousness movement of today.

LOVING LIFE

We believe that loving life means loving the experience of BEING ALIVE and what we are capable of as Creative and Expressive Beings just by choosing to be happy.  It is communicating love through gratitude, appreciation, and respect for our individual emotional state and the impact and influence this has on everything we interact with. We recognize that happiness is a choice and that our daily actions determine whether we demonstrate an existence of stress and unfulfilled living, or loving life as happy and whole examples of a higher vibration – shedding old “victim mindsets” and allowing us to take responsibility for our own happiness. By being a living expression of loving life we get to, as Gandhi said, “be the change we want to see in the world” and share our own happiness as a way of communicating love to everything around us.

LIVING LOVE

Living love means ethical living and communicating love not just through our words and own happiness, but through our actions and impact on others as well. At One Community this means conscious and conscientious living by demonstrating acceptance and non-judgment in the spirit of great leaders like Gandhi and Martin Luther King Jr., attending to our planet through zero-waste living and other sustainability practices, fairness through consensus governing, ethical business practices, and a philosophy of meaningful relationships, cooperation, and collaboration.

CREATING THE “LOVE COMMUNITY” OF THE FUTURE AND COMMUNICATING LOVE

These are the foundations of creating the love community of the future and communicating love to the world, but they are not enough. Loving life and living love means a person is happy, whole, living in integrity, ethical, and conscious and conscientious, but how do we help the rest of the world to access and embrace this too?

David Eisenberg said, “The way to subvert the dominant paradigm is to have more fun than they do and make sure they know it.” Buckminster Fuller said, “In order to change an existing paradigm you do not struggle to try and change the problematic model. You create a new model and make the old one obsolete.” We see the love community of the future communicates love by loving life, living love, and showing and sharing that everyone else can too, and then letting people make their own choices.

This means letting go of “our way is the right way” and “the world needs to…” in favor of a mindset of doing the absolute best that we can, making information and methodologies free and accessible to others so we can collaborate and evolve all aspects faster, and creating it all in bite size pieces so people can pick and choose what works best for THEM. From the sustainable building practices and food infrastructure, to the social architecture and One Community philosophy, to the education and entrepreneurial models, we are asking the question: What serves The Highest Good of All, communicating a culture of love for our fellow human beings, the planet, and what is possible, and how can we share and more efficiently connect the global community of others who feel the same way?

We think the answer is the “hippies” of today: regular people that think alternative energy and eco-construction are cool (with YouTube videos to prove it), the executives of companies like Apple, Google, and Facebook, and teenage bloggers and website designers – shaping the future through cutting-edge communication, innovation, and sharing. From our perspective this is already a global love community, if we’re ready to let go of the stigma and label it as one, and we are happy to be doing our part, making connections, and establishing ourselves as leaders of this new hippie movement.
