Sustainable World Development: Projecting Our First 5 Years of Global Contribution and Transformation

The One Community goal is to demonstrate and inspire, because we believe in the possibility of a New Golden Age of cooperation, collaboration, innovation, creativity, sustainable living, and increased happiness for all people if enough people want it. For that to happen we feel a working model with widespread appeal must be created. It should be affordable, applicable across a diversity of cultures, easily accessible, created so that people with average knowledge and little or no experience can duplicate it, and it must have a marketing engine capable of exposing enough people to build the necessary momentum for it to continue on its own. This is what One Community is open source project-launch blueprinting.

ONE COMMUNITY YEAR ONE AND TWO

Our primary goal for the first year on the property is to become the largest provider of open source and free-shared sustainability information in the world. Our plan to accomplish this within 6 months of moving onto the property is detailed in our open source page and it is foundational to our four-phase global change strategy, puts the power to duplicate our comprehensive sustainability model in the hands of as many people as possible, and supports our financial strategy for on-going expansion.

Equally as important, but most likely requiring more than just our first year, is phase 1 of our infrastructure. The infrastructure of One Community is designed to offer non-profit leadership in the designing, building, and sharing of large-scale communal housing, 100% off-grid energy production, and food self-sufficiency combined with a lifelong education program and holistic daily living approach. Our first eighteen-month building goals are to establish housing that is sufficient for 40-60 people, food production capable of feeding 100’s, and a 100% off-grid 283 kW solar energy foundation. Construction times are hard to put concrete numbers to but we feel completion of this first phase, with the addition of the majority of the SEGO Center City Hub, is a realistic goal for the first eighteen months to two years. We expect partial achievement of our infrastructure goals will allow hosting our first tourists and scholarship students by the end of the first year. We expect to bring on our second group of Pioneer Team Members sometime within the second year.

The purpose of the first year: Establish our example of living and creating for The Highest Good of All and open source share everything we do in accordance with Phase I and II of our global sustainable communities strategy and to successfully establish ourselves as the #1 provider of open source and free-shared sustainability information in the world. 

ONE COMMUNITY’S 5-YEAR GOAL

We have an ambitious five-year goal to complete the majority of One Community and demonstrate all 7 sustainable communal housing village models. As the first of what will be many teacher/demonstration communities, villages, and cities collaborating with us as the world leader in open source sustainable world development tools, tutorials, and resources, we feel we will be able to successfully invite the necessary collaborative partners and other people interested in creating world change of this magnitude with us. If we maintain the productivity and strategy of our first year our model is designed to grow and expand to a 5-6 year accomplishment of:

● 200 full-time residents hosting 1,000’s of visitors and students
● 7 different eco-architecture village models with detailed and open source blueprints for reproduction
● Hundreds of step by step tutorials and resources for easy reproduction of each component of our model
● 1,000’s of additional videos and other tools covering all parts of the One Community way of living
● Creation of the necessary internet infrastructure, affiliate programs, and industry partnerships so that someone anywhere in the world will be able to look at our sustainable housing models, food infrastructure, and energy infrastructure and use our tutorials and blueprints to not only design the combination of each of these that best suits their needs and budget, but to also be able to “one click” order everything in simple and affordable pre-designed packages and have it delivered

This will create an infrastructure that will allow people to interact with One Community and the information we provide in the way that works best for the individual. If people want information and convenience, they will be able to access everything through the internet. If people want hands-on experience, then they can join us for weekend work groups or apply to our scholarship program. And if it is just curiosity, the One Community experience, or an interesting place to visit that a person desires, then we offer tourism.

The purpose the first five years: Open source provide everything necessary to demonstrate and share modular sustainability models to help others to build their own examples of living and creating for The Highest Good of All. Invite as many people as possible to participate and visit in accordance with our complete four-phase global sustainable communities strategy. Help to establish as many additional self-replicating and self-sufficient teacher/demonstration communities, villages, and cities as possible all over the world.

ULTIMATELY WE WILL ACCOMPLISH

• A collaboration of model solutions that create additional solution creating models
• Building 7 completely different duplicable self-sufficient village/city prototypes
• Becoming the #1 provider of open source and free-shared information in the world
• Redefining sustainability as an open source and for The Highest Good of All industry
• Evolving and expanding ALL aspects of comprehensively sustainable infrastructure and living
• A measurable global shift towards sustainability practices that will benefit all of humanity

SUMMARY

One Community is about moving beyond a model solution by building a solution creating model. This means a regenerative and better long-term approach to sustainable world development because One Community is not designed as just one solution, but rather a creator of modular sustainability components and solutions including everything from sustainable food, sustainable energy, and sustainable and duplicable eco-housing to recreation, education, fulfilled living practices, and social architecture. While anything after five years is pure speculation, we believe that if we make each piece of One Community easy to duplicate, free to access, and well-known, people will start to build their own prototype infrastructures and establish a sustainable world model founded on self-sufficient teacher/demonstration communities, villages, and cities following our lead.

In the prophetic words of Buckminster Fuller: “In order to change an existing paradigm you do not struggle to try and change the problematic model. You create a new model and make the old one obsolete. That, in essence, is the higher service to which we are all being called.” This is the long-term vision for One Community and the world.
